TESTIMONIALS

Scott Reed Testimonial

The miraculous results that can be achieved through The Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement. This testimonial from Scott explains where he was before the Yass Method and how he suffered for 2 years with pain from the shoulder region down the arm to his fingers. Listen to how ineffective all treatments were prior and the type of surgery that was suggested to resolve his pain.

Then listen to how quickly the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement helped resolved his symptoms and returned him to full function. If you think this can’t be your outcome, you are mistaken. Just call or email me and listen to how the system works and why the logic behind the method will always lead to a proper diagnosis.

This is a self derived method and I do believe I was asked to learn this so that people could have a pathway to becoming pain-free and getting their lives back. The method has been practiced for over 30 years and thousands have been prevented from getting surgeries that would never have resolved their symptoms. Thousands of others got these surgeries which did nothing to resolve their pain and yet, the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement resolved their pain in just weeks after the failed surgery. Innumerable people have ended their need for pain management.

Please don’t wait any longer to reach out and get the method. The holiday season is upon us. If you or someone you know is suffering with chronic pain or even acute pain, make this the greatest gift that can be given and help them become pain-free and fully functional.

Rico's Testimonial

This is a testimonial from Rico; a guy I performed an initial zoom session with 30 days ago for pain at the gluteal region and foot. He simply explains what his circumstances were, what I figured out was the cause of his pain, what he did to resolve the pain and the transformation in functional capacity that resulted.

This is the common response to the Yass Method For Pain-Free Movement.

What is holding you back from scheduling your session and transforming your life?

Junee Warner

Another Pain-free Fully Functional User Of The Yass Method

Here is another video of a satisfied user of the Yass Method. In this case, I was able to perform the session in-person. The session started off with Junee telling me about her pain and where it was and what brought it on. One of the core differences about the Yass Method and any other method addressing pain is that this method focuses on the interpretation of the body’s presentation of pain and other symptoms to identify which tissue is in distress eliciting those very symptoms.

pain-free

Old methods trump new technology in treating pain!

This is the way it used to work before the advent of the MRI when everybody else decided that whatever was found on the MRI was the tissue in distress eliciting the symptoms and stopped trying to interpret the symptoms. She told me that pain was on her side at the hip region. she noted she was finding it difficult to walk and especially to climb stairs. this was a very scary and frustrating aspect of her situation. it is one thing to have pain. it is another not to be able to perform basic functional tasks required for work and daily living.

after discussing her symptoms, i then performed a series of physical tests looking at her posture and how she moves, stands and walks. the fact that she equated her symptoms to difficulty performing activities, immediately leads to the conclusion that the tissue responsible for the pain is muscle. with the evaluation complete i was able to identify not only that it was muscle creating her pain but which specific muscles were responsible. Here is another major difference between the Yass Method and other practitioners.

The Yass Method identifies the specific muscles responsible for the cause of the pain while other practitioners provide generic exercises for lots of muscles that have nothing to do with the cause of the symptoms. And also make no attempt to strengthen the appropriate muscles by utilizing progressive resistance to get the force outputs of the muscles greater then the force requirements of the activities being performed which is the key to being pain-free and fully functional.

The steps taken to becoming pain-free.

I provided massage to a couple of key muscles (massage is not required to resolve muscular causes but speeds the process up). Then did some stretches and had Junee climbs stairs which she had noted was almost impossible due to pain. After just performing the treatment she was ble to climb stairs without any pain and it was almost easy (she noted that her knee did not feel like it was going to cave in anymore ).

Then i have Junee performed a series of exercises in which the specific muscles that needed to be strengthened were isolated. we had her use the appropriate resistance; in this case with dumbbells and machines. This allows the muscles to adapt and get stronger. Without using the appropriate resistance, obtaining a pain-free fully functional lifestyle is simply not possible. By the end of the session, Junee was smiling from ear to ear.

pain-free

She had gotten in one session, the correct diagnosis as the cause being muscular, which muscles were specifically responsible for the pain and dysfunction, an understanding of how to isolate the muscles with the correct exercises and how to apply the correct resistance to make sure the muscles get strong enough to allow for her to be pain-free and fully functional. As always, i was humbled and satisfied to know that i could this gift to her.

Ed Davis

Another Yass Method Success! Listen to Ed and why the Yass method worked for him when nothing else did. He explains why the Yass method is completely different and so effective. After surgery failed, the Yass method achieved his goal of returning to his activities. That is why life is all about. That is what people expect when they start treatment. That is what the Yass method does.

Yass Method Success

How The Yass Method Will Make You A Yass Method Success!

The Yass Method is completely different from the existing medical establishment in how it identifies the cause of pain. It works by interpreting the body’s presentation of symptoms to identify what tissue in distress eliciting the very symptoms being experienced. Whether muscle, bone or nerve, each creates a very specific set of symptoms that can be identified to establish the tissue in distress.

It turns out that in more than 98% of cases the cause of symptoms is muscle. These types of causes will not show up on diagnostic tests and there is no medical specialty educated or trained to identify them. Whether it is a muscle strained emitting pain, muscle weakness or imbalance causing a misalignment of joint surfaces leading pain at a joint (pain unrelated to the structures of the joint), a muscle referring symptoms (yes, muscle can refer symptoms just like nerves), or a muscle straining and impinging on a nerve like in the case of sciatica, you will most likely not get this type of diagnosis from the medical establishment.

A good example of this is if you have a hamstring strain creating pain at the knee region and you get an MRI and it finds a mensical tear which simply exists and is not causing pain, you will be diagnosed with the mensical tear and treated for that. After the injections and surgeries, you will still have the same pain if not more pain and everybody will be perplexed as to why. The fact is that the hamstring strain is the cause of the pain and continues to strain emitting pain because it was not diagnosed or treated.

The Proper Type Of Strengthening Is What You Need To Be A Yass Method Success

To start on the path to being pain-free and fully functional, you need to schedule a Yass Method zoom session. you can do this by clicking on the link and checking out the website page regarding the zoom sessions. Once you are ready, you can then schedule your zoom session. https://livewithoutpains.com/sessions/

The sessions consist of an evaluation in which a history of your symptoms will be discussed to help understand what tissue is responsible for the symptoms being experienced. Then physical tests will be performed including evaluation of posture and functional movements like single leg standing and walking. The cause of the pain will be identified and if confirmed to be muscular which it has been found to be in more than 98% of cases, a series of exercises will be demonstrated and then performed under supervision.

The sessions are videotaped which allows the individual to be able to use this as a tool in performing the exercises correctly and using the correct resistance to achieve the goals of being pain-free and fully functional. 4 week follow up visits are also recommended to make sure that all intermittent goals are being met in a timely fashion.

Listen to what Ed is telling you. He is saying he had pain for years which affected the quality of his life. This was at a point, retirement where he wanted to get the most out of life and could barely stand on any given day. Ed became a Yass Method Success because he wa willing to go outside the medical establishment and seek an alternative type of care.

Kathy Sweeney

Listen to what Kathy is saying about the Results she obtained with The Yass Method after living with pain for years. She tried almost every method and medication to resolve her symptoms but couldn’t and it led to thoughts of suicide. This is the danger that unrelenting pain can have on the psyche if not resolved. As time progresses and pain is unresolved, anxiety, frustration and hopelessness develops. These symptoms begin to become pervasive. The focus of attention develops around these emotions and can turn into a horrible negative spiral making relationships, jobs and simple daily tasks almost impossible to maintain.

Results.

Why did Kathy get the Results she did with The Yass Method?

Just as with most people, Kathy followed the normal path of trying to address her symptoms through the medical establishment. As she notes, she tried different types of physicians, chiropractors and physical therapists. She tried multiple forms of medications and treatments. Nothing worked so she kept searching for the next treatment. Without her even knowing, she was following the wrong path looking for another treatment when in fact the problem was she hadn’t found the right diagnosis.

The problem with trying to find the right diagnosis through the medical establishment is that they are specialists. They are educated and trained to only know one tissue; ie: neurologist only knows nerve, orthopedist only knows structure of joints. Therefore if the tissue in distress eliciting your symptoms is not the one the specialist is trained to identify then you will simply be pigeon hold into what they can diagnose. This greatly limits the accuracy of getting the right diagnosis.

This is worsened by the fact that these specialists primarily use the MRI or other diagnostic tests to identify the tissue in distress. The problem with this is that the structural abnormalities identified like herniated discs, arthritis and meniscal tears may have existed long before the symptoms began and muscular causes will simply not show up. So you may have a lower back muscle strain causing lower back pain but if an MRI shows a herniated disc, that will become your diagnosis which is exactly what happened in Kathy’s case.

results

Kathy found The Yass Method. The Yass Method is completely different from any method that exists. The primary method of diagnosing the cause of pain is through the interpretation of symptoms. It is understood that every tissue creates a specific set of symptoms when it is in distress and therefore the best way to identify the cause of the symptoms is through the interpretation of those very symptoms. The method has shown that in more than 98% of cases muscle is the cause of pain.

This is includes cases where a muscle is strained and emitting pain, there is muscle weakness or imbalance leading to a misalignment of joint symptoms causing joint pain unrelated to the structures of the joint, muscles referring symptoms or muscles straining and impinging on nerves which then refer symptoms (sciatica is the best example).

results

What did Kathy do to get the Results from The Yass Method

Kathy went through a physical evaluation which is at the core of The Yass Method. She was evaluated looking for physical symptoms to identify the tissue in distress responsible for her symptoms. Like more than 98% of cases utilizing The Yass Method, she was found to have muscle weakness and imbalance of specific muscles which were preventing her from performing her daily activities without breaking down and creating the symptoms. She then performed a series of specific targeted progress resistance exercises which were performed strictly to address the muscles in distress creating her symptoms.

This is another place where The Yass Method differs. Generic exercise does not work in cases where muscles are in distress eliciting symptoms. Strengthening both sides of the body or opposing muscles groups for the sake of doing so will never resolve symptoms from muscles in distress. The right muscles must be identified and treated. This is at the core of The Yass method. This is how Kathy got the Results she needed to live a pain-free and fully functional life again.

The exciting news is that you can get the same Results in the comfort of your own home. You can schedule a Yass Method zoom session at a time that is convenient for you. Grace’s Testimonial

Grace is a Yass Method Success and one of the closest to my heart. I can never forget the fact that I treated Grace when she was just 5 years. I was already treating her grandfather and her parents thought it was a good idea to bring Grace to me for an evaluation to see if there was anything i could do for her.

She was given the diagnosis Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis simply because she had pain in her joints and children should not have pain there. There is no blood test or diagnostic test used to provide this diagnosis. I remember Grace’s parents saying that should couldn’t climb stairs or play with her friends from the pain she was experiencing.

Meeting her from the first time was amazing. She was this little girl that was seeking help and just like with every person that has stood in front of me I decided I would do what ever I could to give her back her life.

Yass Method Success

Grace’s path to becoming a Yass Method Success

As is always the key to getting the right diagnosis, I started by evaluating Grace looking at her symptoms and performing a series of physical tests to identify which tissue was in distress emitting the symptoms she was experiencing. Eventually I determined that Grace’s pain and dysfunction were from strained muscles that simply did not have enough force output to meet the force requirements of her activities.

I started Grace on a series of exercises to strengthen the specific muscles responsible for creating her symptoms. As I always note, you do not perform general conditioning and strengthen all muscles when specific muscles are responsible for symptoms indicating those specific muscles are in distress. Because of her age, I made sure that the exertion we used in performing the exercises was less than what I normally used.

The beauty of the perceived exertion scale in identifying how hard it is to move resistance is that you ask the person to describe the level. It has been proven to be very accurate. So I just watched Grace and asked her how hard it was when she did the exercises and it worked out perfectly.

Over the next few months Grace responded and got stronger. Her function began to improve. It was awesome. Clearly my emotional connection to this situation was much greater because of Grace’s age and my closeness to her grandfather. What also was concerning was looming over Grace was the use of cortisone shots to address her symptoms if the treatment didn’t work.

Yass Method Success

15 years later and Grace again becomes a Yass Method Success

Over a period of 9 months Grace improved and got back her complete function and was pain-free. She remained doing personal training for a couple of years and then was gone. Recently i had received an email from her father saying Grace again was having pain at her knees. She tried physical therapy which did nothing and again she was being threatened with cortisone shots a her only solution. Her father suggested looking me up and seeing if I could help.

She eventually did and we were able again to resolve her pain and return her to full functional capacity. The great news here is that she is still in New York and I am in Florida. We were able to use The Yass Method virtually through zoom and again she was a Yass Method Success allowing her to run and ride horses. It is an honor to be able to have helped her twice. She is now a college student and looking to enter the health field. She hopes one day to be able to learn how to provide The Yass Method to create her own Yass Method Success stories.

Maciej Kuzma

Dr Yass is a healer plain and simple. A year ago I was bedridden, now I hike daily.

Yass Method Success

Maciej’s path to becoming a Yass Method Success

Maciej was like way to many people today dealing with chronic pain. He had tried everything method and means to resolving his back pain but nothing worked. He had been having back pain from the time he was 15 years old and now he is 21. The intensity of the pain simply continued to grow to where he was unable to sleep on a bed and for the past year could only sleep on the floor. He found it difficult to maintain relationships with people and basically didn’t leave his home.

Like most people in his situation he was on the internet looking for help. He was posting on the website Reddit. At that time I was trying to research and see what people were thinking about when it came to their pain. I wanted to see if people truly were accepting the medical establishment position that pain was coming from structural abnormalities like herniated discs, stenosis and arthritis identified on diagnostic tests like MRIs.

I saw a post he had put out and after seeing it was from a guy who was just 21 years old I figured it was worth it just to respond. My prayer is that everybody find out about the Yass Method so they can become a Yass Method Success.

From that point forward we started to communicate and I was able to win his confidence enough to proceed with a Yass Method zoom session. We proceeded in the usual fashion of reviewing his history and then performing the physical evaluative techniques that help to determine which tissue is in distress eliciting the symptoms being experienced. For me, the cause of Maciej’s pain was obvious. He had an extreme imbalance of muscle causing a severe arching of the lower back pain.

This caused the lower back muscles to be so shorten that any movement could put them into spasm. I took pictures of him to show him and he was amazed when he saw what I was talking about. He was also angered that all the other practitioners he saw did not pick up on something so glaring.

Maciej’s quick response and turn toward becoming a Yass Method Success

So we had figured out the cause of his lower back pain that prevented him from having any type of normal function. Now all we had to do was perform the specific Yass Method targeted progressive resistance exercises to strengthen the appropriate muscles that would resolve the muscle imbalance causing the symptoms and leading to the dysfunction. As is with all the Yass Method zoom sessions, I first demonstrated the exercises showing how to set up the resistance band and then how to perform the exercise using the band to provide the proper resistance to cause the muscle to adapt and get stronger.

He then performed the exercises while I supervised. Every detail is looked at in performing the exercises so the person can get the maximal benefit and achieve the goals of being pain-free and fully functional in the shortest period of time. With all the Yass Method zoom sessions, the session is videotaped so the person has this going forward to make sure they perform the exercises accurately and use the appropriate resistance to get their results in the shortest period of time.

Yass Method Success

The results speak for themselves. In just a couple of months time, the pain Maciej was experienced is almost completely gone. He is able to function at a much higher level. His level of happiness has skyrocketed and he thinks about the future with excitement and joy. His life has been completely turned around all because I happened to respond to a post he put out searching for an answer to his lower back pain.

Don’t wait. You can get the same results as Maciej and become a Yass Method Success. If you want to know whether the Yass Method can work for you, you can contact me at my email address: drmitch@mitchellyass.com.

Dianna Cunningham

“Dr. Yass has helped me tremendously with my knee and back. He completely understands the pain and what really causes it. I highly recommend The Yass Method for resolving chronic pain.”

Yass Method Success

Why Dianna became a Yass Method Success

This woman suffered for years after failed surgeries and other treatments. She found the Yass method and within a couple of months was pain-free. She describes many of the treatments and practitioners that failed her and why she feels she needs to endorse the Yass method as the only way of resolving pain.

Dianna was like so many of you suffering with pain that seemed to be unable to be resolved by the medical establishment. She tried all types of medical practitioners even succumbing to getting surgeries that failed. As with most people she found me by googling for alternative methods of treatment. This is always a point that disturbs me. I would rather people not have to go through the torment of failed treatment after failed treatment just to find out after the fact that those treatments were never going to work in the first place.

The reality is that the medical establishment believes and promotes the idea that diagnostic testing is the key to identifying the tissue in distress eliciting your symptoms. This is literally a baseless fact. The theory stems from a concept called correlative theory or junk science. It says that if you have pain and a structural abnormality like a herniated disc, stenosis, arthritis or a meniscal tear is found at the time of the pain then the structural abnormality must be the cause of the pain.

This is baseless in theory as an MRI would find you have two elbows at the time of pain so it can be asserted having two elbows is the cause of the pain. Finally studies have shown that large portions of people without any pain can be found to have the same structural abnormalities. Link to study: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/nejm199407143310201

Yass Method Success

Dianna searched and found my book, The Pain Cure Rx which to me is like the bible of diagnosing the cause of pain. It lays out The Yass Method theory that the best way to identify the tissue in distress is interpreting the body’s presentation of symptoms to identify the tissue in distress emitting the very symptoms being experienced. To achieve this goal a physical evaluation is performed looking at the body for symptoms which help to determine the cause of the symptoms.

Upon performing the evaluation we were able to identify which muscles were responsible for creating the symptoms she was experiencing. The important to understand is that it is not all of her muscles that are strained and emitting the symptoms. Only the ones that don’t have an equivalent force output to the force requirements of the activities she is performing. You need to understand which muscles are responsible for the symptoms so only those muscles can be strengthened appropriate so all muscles have enough force output to match the force requirements of the activity being performed.

How Dianna became a Yass Method Success

Dianna contacted me and we performed a Yass Method zoom session. The session consisted of the evaluation described above along with performing the correct exercises to address the muscles that were strained. I demonstrated the exercises and then had Dianna perform them under my supervision providing cues to make sure she got the maximal benefit. The session is videotaped so she has this going forward to make sure she performs the exercises optimally to reach her goal of being pain-free and fully functional in the shortest period of time.

As Dianna describes her life has been changed by getting the Yass Method and become another Yass Method Success.

Yass Method Success

Nila Hulvey

Yass Method Success: I have done my exercise routine faithfully three times a week.

My body is really responding to it. I’m still having some pain sometimes behind my left knee when walking down my steep driveway. But I’m able to do things I haven’t done in a long time! My neck hasn’t felt this good in a very long time. Yesterday we went for a two-mile walk! (on level ground). My husband has also been doing some of the exercises too. I can’t thank you enough for your help. It’s been life-changing!

Yass Method Success

Become a Yass Method Success just like Nila

Nila is an avid outdoors person. She loves to hike but pain was impeding her from enjoying the thing she loves to do the most. She found The Yass Method by googling for alternative treatments simply because nothing she had done worked to reduce her pain. She contacted me and we scheduled a Yass Method zoom session.

For many of you I believe there is some concern about how a zoom session can be as effective as an in-person visit which is impeding you from becoming a Yass Method Success. You have to understand the situation you are in to see how it can work. I have shown that for more than 98% of cases the cause of pain is muscle. This presents in 4 primary ways. First, a muscle can strain and emit pain. Muscle weakness or imbalance can occur of the muscles that attach to a joint causing misalignment of the joint surfaces leading pain at the joint. Nothing is wrong with the structures of the joint even though the pain is experienced there.

Third, a muscle can refer pain. Not just nerves can refer pain as most are thought to believe. For instance, numbness at the hand after sleeping on the side is most often a referred symptom from a strained rotator cuff muscle. Finally, muscles can strain and impinge on a nerve which then refers symptoms. Sciatica is the best example of this. A muscle in the gluteal region strains and impinges on the sciatic nerve causing it to refer symptoms down the leg.

An evaluation is performed at the inception of the Yass Method zoom session. It incorporates a discussion of the history of the symptoms followed by some physical tests to determine the cause of the symptoms. If in fact it is confirmed that the cause of the pain is muscle, then the only means of resolving the pain is to strengthen the appropriate muscles. If muscle is the tissue in distress responsible for the symptoms being experienced then only targeted progressive resistance strength training can resolve the cause. let’s be clear, stretching, exercise without resistance, walking or other aerobic exercise will not resolve the cause or the symptoms.

Once this is established, the appropriate exercises can be demonstrated and then performed under supervision during the zoom session. The sessions are videotaped so that this can be used to make sure the exercises are being performed correctly and the appropriate resistance is used. Understanding how to progress the resistance is also a part of the sessions as this is the key to making the muscles stronger until their force outputs are greater then the force requirements of the activities being performed which allows for being pain-free and fully functional.

Vicki (Australia)

Yass Method Success: “I can highly recommend the Zoom session consults with Dr Yass and his methodology for resolving pain and restoring full function.  He is passionate about his work and spends as much time as it takes to thoroughly evaluate each client and teach them how to perform their prescriptive exercises correctly.  Couldn’t recommend Dr Yass and his method more highly.”

Yass Method Success

Vicki lives down under and still found a way to be a Yass Method Success

Distance is not a factor when comes to diagnosing and treating pain. The key is to have the right method. Globally unfortunately, the medical establishment continues to use diagnostic testing like MRIs as the primary method of diagnosing the cause of pain. As in most cases, in Vicki’s case it did not identify the cause of pain; simply a structural variation that existed at the time of her pain. Her pain was in her groin and it was asserted that some arthritis was found at the hip, the arthritis was the cause of the pain. This is known as correlative theory or junk science.

You can assert that the MRI would find that Vicki has 2 elbows at the time she had groin pain so therefore having 2 elbows was the cause and she needed her elbows removed. This is how perverse this method it. Another indicator of the lack of validity is the fact that studies showed up to 75% of people with no hip region pain can be found to have arthritis and labral tears. In Vicki’s case, her pain was at the groin and there simply is no way that groin pain could be caused by the hip joint which is on the outside of the pelvis.

The good news is that Vicki decided to search for an alternative treatment. She found the Yass Method and subsequently became a Yass Method Success. Through a Yass Method zoom session an evaluation was performed and it indicated that the cause of her pain was a strained muscle in the groin region. This would never have shown up on diagnostic testing and there is no medical specialty educated or trained to identify them.

What did Vicki do to become a Yass Method Success?

Once it was identified that the cause of her pain was muscle. Vicki did the only thing that can be done to resolve the cause, she performed Yass Method progressive resistance strength training exercises. These are at the core of The Yass Method. The exercises are precisely designed to isolate individual muscles so that the muscles can be trained applying resistance to them making them adapt and get stronger. The goal of the exercises is to make each muscle involved in function to have a greater force output then the force requirements of the activities being performed.

Once this is achieved, the person is able to perform their functional activities pain-free and optimally. Vicki followed a program designed for her. She performed her exercises 3 times a week and every 4 weeks had a follow up zoom session to make sure she was achieving her goals. The follow up sessions are designed to make sure that the exercises are being performed optimally and that the optimal resistance is being used to obtain the goals in the shortest period of time.
