I hope all of you are excited about the new year and the hope of ending your pain this year. To achieve this goal, you need to look to a new method, something outside the existing medical model of diagnosing through MRIs. For most of you, either yourself or someone you know has been negatively affected by the use of the existing model which failed to resolve your symptoms and for so many made the symptoms worse. The failure rate for back surgery is over 70%. The number of revisions for hip and knee replacements has grown meteorically. 22 million Americans addicted to prescription pain medication. And yet the very same method of diagnosing and treating pain continues. As noted, the definition of insanity is trying the same thing again and again and expecting a different outcome. How many failed surgeries; how many failed revisions of surgeries; how many more specialist visits; how long do you have to stay with the existing medical model of falsely diagnosing the cause of your pain before you see the light?
I saw the light over 2 decades ago while in medical school. What is being taught is completely invalid. Herniated discs the cause of pain when discs are made of a material that contains no pain receptors in it. Scoliosis the cause of pain when the bones having no fracturing which is the only reason a bone would elicit pain. Arthritis the cause of pain when the joint range of motion is completely full indicating the arthritis identified has nothing to do with the cause of pain. Muscular causes of pain cannot be identified by diagnostic tests like MRIs. So a muscle in spasm at the back or a muscle imbalance between the front and back thigh muscles causing excessive compression of the kneecap leading to knee pain will never be diagnosed. Nothing about the existing system is valid. All the evidence points to this. Then there is the splintered system of specialists. Each one only taught to be able to identify one particular cause of pain. Therefore if the cause is not in that specific understanding, the chance of misdiagnosis is guaranteed.
I created the Yass method as a response to the fact that the existing system is completely flawed. You are in pain and continue to be in pain because you are being misdiagnosed. The wrong tissue is identified and treated. Pain is an indication of a tissue in distress. If the right tissue is identified and treated, then pain should no longer be necessary to be created as an indication of a tissue in distress and it should simply cease. If you are treated and pain continues, clearly the wrong tissue was identified and treated. The Yass method has a very high accuracy of identifying the correct tissue because it ignores diagnostic test findings and focuses on the interpretation of the presentation of symptoms that the body provides. The symptoms are specific to specific tissues which is the body’s attempt to guide the diagnostician to the right tissue. It wants the right tissue identified so a proper intervention can be performed and the distress of the tissue resolved. In more than 95% of cases the cause of pain is muscular. This is why you have a greater than 90% chance of being misdiagnosed if you use the existing medical model. Just because something has been around awhile and is promoted by so many does this make is valid. Ask the over 130 million Americans and roughly 1 billion people worldwide suffering from chronic pain if the system works. You need to embrace the Yass method if you ever hope to get the right diagnosis and treat the right tissue.
